~Hide -A- Way~

Tommy and I spent three days in Hide - A - Way Hills on Vacation this past week. We were there Sunday though Tuesday although it felt like a full week. That's because we took like three naps a day. All we did was sit in the hot tub, read, eat and sleep. Oh and played a couple of board games.

We went last year in May, the weather was a little bit better but still, we want to make it a annual tradition. The cabin belongs to my mom's best friend and her spouse. He got the cabin back in 92 I think, so I have always known of it. Last year, like this year, we wanted to take a mini vaca before the season hit, wedding season that is. It's a perfect idea to go and have a few nights of peace and quiet before 80 hour weeks hit. Also, this year, again, I planned out meals ahead of time and took them, already prepared. I was nice to just reheat things and still have a great meal. Not that I'm tooting my own horn or anything!

The moment we got there we got in the hot tub. Ahhhhh, so relaxing. Tommy and I went to Barnes and Noble the night before we left town and each of us got new books. I purchased Write It Down, Make It Happen and he got Waiter Rants and Delux. Tommy finished Waiter Rants while we were there. He was such a happy camper. He said it had been years since he had just sat down a read a book in a week or less. I was so pleased with my book too... so please that I will just say it now, "Go out and get yourself a copy!" Jill, you can borrow mine! lol. I read 6 chapters (most of them in the hot tub too) and then went back, started over and highlighted and made "Lists". Read the book, you'll know what I mean. Wow. So inspiring.

I also learned how to play the game Risk. We got it for our wedding because Tommy really wanted it and we had not played together before. He explained the game to me and we were off... by the end of the game I was the one that was happy we played, because I WON! We really did have such a wonderful time. :)

~The card that was on the bed when I got upstairs! What a sweet surprise! It said, "I like hanging out with you" on the inside and an added sweet note from Tommy.~

~We took a drive around the Hills and stopped by to say, "Hi" to the horsies!~

Jackson went to a new place for the week because Tommy missed drop off time at our vet. Thank god they had a free space at Pet Palace, although I know why, "They are expensive!" Can you bleieve, at drop off, that they asked it Jaskson would like a Bed and or a T.V. in his "room". lol. Wow. Anywho, he did well except he peed on everything, every 20 mins. He was very happy to see us when we got there to pick him up, or should I say every excited to see his daddy. He could care less that I had the leash. He also made a girlfriend on the way out, a black lab. lol.

~My Treasures, My Family~

Jill, Mom and I went Zanesville again to go Antique shopping. We, once again, had a blast!!! Last time we went to Waynesville, so it had been a while since we have been to Zanesville. My mom grew up there. When I was growing up we went every Sunday. I was talking to a new friend the other day who had listed on their profile that they were born in Zanesville. I said to her, "You must love Tom's Ice Cream Bowl too!" She made a point that Tom's and Adornetto's Pizza were the only places that town has goin' for them. I was so thrown back because I don't remember eating at a pizza place in Z growing up. I called my mom and said, "Someone I was talking too said there's a pizz-" Mom cut me off with, "Adornetto's Pizza! Oh my gosh, they're one of the hits of the town." Needless to say we had to check it out! Don't get me wrong. I did not "dip" out on Tom's, we still got shakes to go! lol. It was also so nice just to be with the ladies and spend some time with my mom and Jill. It has been too long since the three of us had done something.

~laughing too much~

~found a peter rabbit cookie jar. so cute.~

~one word... puuuuuurrrrrrr!~

~at a pizza place that a friend recommended.~

~on the way out of town we went past my grandpa's old house. i miss that house so very much. i spent every other weekend there from the time i was 3 years old until my freshman year of high school. it was the perfect little ranch with a breeze way between the garage and the house with an acre in the back. oh, and a pool table in the basement! lol.~

Daddy always, jokingly, gives me a hard time that he and mom missed Woodstock solely because they were getting married on August 16th of 1969. So while we were in Zanesville, Dad and Tommy went to Shadowbox to see the Musical, Woodstock! They had a blast. I knew that daddy would enjoy it because of the music and his former student Andy (bottom left corner of pix below) was in the show. While they were there Tommy texted me, "Andy's not the only former student of your dads!" I laughed, go figure, Daddy knows everybody! lol.

-----Shadowbox is gearing up to debut its new, original musical documentary, Woodstock: Back to the Garden, opening Sunday, September 20th at the Easton Town Center.

The show tells the story of the Woodstock Music and Art Fair with original scenes mixed with quotes from key performers and songs from the concert itself.

"This is a story that takes a look behind the scenes of the most famous concert in history," explains Jimmy Mak, scene-writer for the play and Shadowbox's head writer. "But it's still a musical. We still have characters bursting into song and dance ... they just happen to be songs from Woodstock."------

There was a new sushi place that Tommy and I were going to go to today but we decided to get it on Sunday, with the family, instead. It's called Tora and it's on Hamilton Road. We looked at the website and Tommy was sold. Could not wait til today.

~later that night tommy got sushi for me, dad and mom~

~of course we played apple to apples along side the food~

~You Should Know~

So if you have not picked up on this yet, sometimes I (we) write blogs that are kind of random but they are things I think our friends and family would like to know about. Since Tiffany and Desmond's Wedding some things have happened. Ok, some of this is from before the wedding too but still. Hope you get a kick out of all of it.

~Tommy and I were so excited to have a canvas order last week, that was our largest order to date. It's a great picture of Rachel and Chris. We are so excited to share with you later, where they hung it. We will get a pic when we can.~
~We are still not down from our Arnold and Sylvester High! We still can't get over that we saw them at Easton last week. Wow!~

~My Handsome Man~

~"After 2 1/2 years... I hung our marriage certificate! I guess it's official"
Ashley Wiers Sanders
I hope it doesn't take hanging the certificate to make it official because if it does I've been living in sin for 10 years and getting knocked up by my live in boyfriend...3 times :-)
Naomi Eddy
HAHAHAHA love the comment Ashley, same with me! I was like, "oh crap are we supposed to hang it?"
Ashley and Naomi are from my Bible Study Group! Love what they wrote.~

~Jackson got a new Collar. He really could care less!~

~Thank God for a Good Day! He made Chicken and Potatoes with Sauce that I bought for Tommy a couple of months ago at Weilands.~
~Went to Amber's again this week and took food along with playing and holding the baby. We officially have an Event location for her benefit. It's going to be at BOMA downtown.~
~Finally got the tree down and the boxes away. That only took two months! lol. I can not believe how big our living room looks again. Pic right before we boxed it up!~

~Jackson was so very excited to have his pillow back in the corner. As soon as Tommy placed it in the room, he ran, plopped down and grinned ear to ear.~

~Signed up for Scrap mania for April 9th with Amber. We are going to work on our Shadow Boxes. Here's my "Before" picture!~

~Last week saw Whip It, Gamer and Fame. Drug Mart rents movies on Monday nights for 79 cents. We used to go more often but we've been so busy. It was nice to watch Whip It and Fame as for Gamer! Hell No! G. Butler what the heck were you thinking? No No No No!~

~Tiffany's Wedding~

Tommy and I were so excited to shoot this past Saturday's wedding. One for the Bridesmaids, in Tiffany's wedding, was one of my Bridesmaids in our Wedding, Bethany. Tiffany and Bethany have know each other for quite some time. Tommy and I were very excited to meet her because not only did Bethany refer us but she had talked a lot about her. She is such a doll and was such a beautiful Bride. We were Honored! The wedding took place in Columbus where I had my Senior Prom! We got creative with the bridal party. There was a Casino Night getting set up, in the ballroom next to the reception, and we photographed the guys over there. The Bride and Groom also had a Photo booth that Tommy, Bethany and I took advantage of. Overall, good night! Enjoy! Congrats Tiffany and Desmond!

~Oscars Party~

Tommy and I decided, at 8pm, that we would have an Oscar Party. Don't be sad if you were not invited... no one was! LOL! We made a new ice cream, printed ballads, filled them in with our guesses and plopped on the couch. It was fun to have the Oscars on and be together, in the living room, not on our computers. The ice cream was amazing. He made vanilla, almonds, caramel and chocolate chunks! Can't wait to have more of it tomorrow. Night!
