We decided to stay in Columbus for the weekend of Trick -or- Treat this year. Tommy had a wedding on that Saturday. Last year we went to visit my one of my flower girls and her family in Cincinnati. On the Weekend of November fourth we were off again; we have missed their family so much. When we got into town the older kids we in school and Rob was at work so Tommy, Malinda and I took Aiden to the market. He was so cute and clinging to me and Tommy.
Elle (flower girl), Me and Emma when the girls got home from school on Friday!
Tommy being Goofy!
Elle had ballet practice on Friday evening then she was going straight to a Girl Scout Camp Sleepover. I only got to visit for her for a lil bit; what a social life! ;)
On Friday night The Adults went out to a newly renovated bar then out to eat. The bar was so cool. It was long and narrow, all windows (along the street side) and an additional little walk-up patio with about 300 beers to choose from. I wish I had gotten a picture of the other side of the chalk door too; more beers!
Here's the inside. Where this pic was taken is exactly where Malinda and I sat. We had a glass of wine and talked about what the bar looked like before they re-did it; broken windows, rundown, abandoned etc.
Malinda & Me
After wine we were off to BOCA for dinner. Oh my gosh! Once again... Amazing! Here were my dishes! They were each to die for in their own way! The four of us got our own four courses, had the sommelier pair our wines and each tried each a bite of each-others dishes!
Saturday morning Rob and Malinda went out to run a couple of errands and we played with the kids. Aiden was in the cutest "morning mood".
Tommy and Avery played Battleship and Aiden of course was attached to Tommy the whole time.
The boys playing Battleship.
Flowers that we got at the market the day before.
After a hearty breakfast the guys watched football while watching the kids and Malinda and I want to Nordstrom Rack! We found so really really good deals. Lets just say, we both came home happy!
For dinner Malinda took me and Tommy to a burger joint that was featured on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives called Terry's Turf Club. We had so much fun. Malinda said that we would have to wait like an hour and a half to get a seat and she wasn't jokin'!!! We sat under the "heating lamps" with drinks and conversation! :) They are known for their burgers and worth the wait!
Malinda & Me
This is a pic of Malinda's burger. We all got different toppings. I had a chipolata sauce with goat cheese and caramelized onions! Yum!
After stuffing ourselves!
Saturday after burgers we went to go pick up the kids at Malinda's neighbors house. It was well after ten and they were asleep. The family watching them invited us in and we smooched on some Halloween candy and wine! A couple of hours later we took Aiden home (so he didn't wake up in someone elses house for the first time) and found Rob (home from worh) with dessert wines ready to taste. Sunday morning before we went to breakfast Tommy played cars with Aiden and Aiden played "Kitty Kat"! Lets just say he meowed, purred and cuddled the hole weekend. It was so sweet.
Me & Aiden
Avery, Me, Alle and Emma!
Emma and I sat next to each other at breakfast.
Aiden had an obbesssion about his chocolate milk. He freaked out when his menu was taken away; his milk needed to stay "sat" on menu. It was kind of funny.
My yummy breakfast. Once again we all tried each others choices. Tommy had bourbon french toast! Yea!
:)
After an amazing breakfast we went for a walk. There is a new house being built down the street from the Steven's and we walked through it; nice! They are even putting in an elevator!
Cool so far, huh?
We hung out at the house on Sunday afternoon. Elle being Elle! :)
Elle & Me
Elle wanted to take a picture of us.
Between her Girls Scout camping trip, ballet, ballet and ballet when Elle and I had time to cuddle; we took advantage! :)
Oh the Candy! Obviously we were there the weekend after Halloween and we ate too much candy! Hey, the more the adults ate the less the kids did! LOL.
Aiden wanted to throw the ball with me and we had to go. Of course we threw the ball back in fourth for a few and when it was time to go he said no. While we were playing I snapped this shot! Love it!
We can't wait to go back and visit Rob, Malinda and the kids again. We wish we could visit more than twice a year. The kids were so busy this past weekend too. Even though we were at their house we missed them so much. Hopefully we'll get to see them again soon, we love them all so much.
