~Alice, Arnold & Sylvester~

So Tommy and I went to Easton today (to see Alice in Wonderland) and "ran into" Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger! How cool is that. It's a long story but here it goes... (from Tommy)

We had bought our tickets online a few days ago so all we had to do was go to the kiosk to redeem them. Got the tickets, went to get in line, and realized that they were not for the showing in 3D! Kind of defeats the whole reason for going to see it! SO, we went to customer service to have the tickets changed for the next screening in 3D, which ended up being 2 hours later. No worries, we decided to walk around and get something to eat and we would come back. On our way out we spotted a large group of people congregating, so naturally I went to inquire. That's when I saw Sylvester Stallone browsing the News Stand! No more quickly had we figured out who it was that was creating such a ruckus, he and his entourage of security etc. started to head away from the group, before we even had time to take a picture. Knowing that my wonderful wife can handle herself, I ran up and got ahead of Stallone and his crew just in time to snap a blurry picture on my camera phone. He was three feet from me, I said something simple like "Mr. Stallone!" in an enthusiastic yet calm matter as if we had met before or had been friends who hadn't seen each other in years. I extended my hand at the same time he raised his to give a little waive, but instead met my grip and said..."Ehh" in that unmistakable Stallone slur. It was great. =)

He ended up getting in line with Arnold at Graters for some ice cream, all the while scores of people stood around in awe of the Terminator and Rocky standing next to each other enjoying a scoop.

Arnold is in town for the annual Arnold Classic, as I am sure that's the reason Stallone was there too. Schwarzenegger not only has hosted his classic here in Columbus for years, but he also helped fund Easton Town Center's development with Lex Wexner (founder of Limited Brands)

~At AMC~

Finally, Alice in Wonderland!

It came out on Friday and we had to wait til today (Sunday) to see it. I was so excited to not only see it in 3D but the quality of the 3D like AVATAR! I did not realize, when I went online to buy the tickets, that with the Movie Watchers Card the processing fee waved. Cool! Here's what's not so cool, The Movie! I thought that the Casting Director and the Costume Designer did a great job but thought it was kind of slow and not very well written. Tommy is not a fan of Tim Burton's work but I always have been and I think he did a wonderful job with this group, I just wish he had a better script to work with and that there was less "action" and more plot and script. Also not a fan of the way it started, ended or the first 20 minutes in general. Sorry for those of you who do not agree.

~I Scream, You Scream...~

I Scream, You Scream, we all Scream for Cuisinart Ice Cream! Yep you heard it! We now have a Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker. Tommy's Uncle Dan has the same one. Long story short I was going to earn one one (two years ago) for the Mary Kay Quarterly Awards and came close but did not meet my goal. Ever since then Tommy and I have been trying to find one less expensive. We never thought that we would get the higher end Cuisinart but while we were at Easton today, Tommy and I split up after lunch and he went into Sur Le Table. Of course they had a floor model on Clarence and it was missing two parts. Tommy asked if the parts would be easy to find, maybe online? Well the Manager said, "No don't worry. I have on brand new in box, in the back. You can buy that one!" Yes, you and I are thinking the same thing.. I would want the Clarence price. Well, guess what! It rang up at the same price, $150 off! Yeah. So as I am writing this portion of the blog, I hear, in the kitchen the sound of it working away! While it's working I will share...

Around 12:30 this afternoon (Friday) Tommy asked me what was for lunch. I of course was not able to answer right away but I had just woken up! Yep! Just woke up! (I love you Jill! Do you still love me?) I said to him, I am not sure and he asked if we could take a 1/2 day (whole day to me) and just be together. Who would ever say no to that?! We went to Easton to go to Smith and Wolinsky's because they were having a Wine Tasting Week, "10 Wines for $10"! Of course we forgot about making reservations when we got the flying in the mail last week but we tried anyway. NOPE! Then we went off to Ocean Club and they are not open for lunch. So NOPE! THEN we walked over to Brio and remembered (on the way over there) that from 3-6pm it's the $2.95 menu. Finally a place to eat but we had to wait till 3! So he went to William and Sonoma and I went to Baby Gap, V.S. and Francesca's Collections. We met up at 3pm and had lunch at the Bar. We sat next to a couple (5 months prego), talked and gave them our card. The bar tender has a 2 year old and a 6 year old and she asked for our card. Did I mention in Baby Gap I ran into a mom and grandma with a 5 day old baby girl, name Marley and gave her my card too. Great day for meeting people. After lunch Tommy went back to a store where the woman helping him shop said she was getting married and needed a photographer still. What do you think? Yep! Tommy gave her his card. I went to Archivers and got some scrap booking stuff for Hannah (13th Bday) and Trader Joe's for some flowers!
Ding! Ice Cream's Done! Ok, so some real time went by in between but here we go!

Vanilla, Peppermint, Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream with Girl Scout Thin Mints! Yumm! Could not have been possible without my little friend Bethany delivering us our G.S. Cookies yesterday.
Yep! It tasted just as good as it looks! I Scream, You Scream... We all Scream for Ice Cream!

~Hannah's Play~

"Side Note" before I write about Hannah's Play: Our friend Brittney Hill (canvas girl in living room) was in Chili for the quake! She's been safe but could not get a flight back home for quite some time. She FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY got a flight out Thursday eve!!! Yeah! She's safe at home.

My "Little Sister" was in a play, again, this year! The play was tonight (March 5th) and she will be 13 tomorrow!!! What a weekend for her! She acted at the Scarecrow in a "Play within a Play"... "Wizard of Oz" within "Death to the Drama Club". She did such a great job and her costume was so fun! She was a Cheerleader in last years play and had a few lines but this year she had lots of lines. She had been expressing the months prior that she was nervous about memorizing all of them but she did just fine. We took her flowers and congratulated her afterwords. I also took her her bday gift bad full of scrap booking stuff. She was a happy chick!

Hannah I am so proud of you! You did great!

~Bob's Salmon~

Are you ready to make Rachael Ray's Roasted Salmon with Zucchini and Nutty Couscous.? Tommy's dad sends us home with salmon every time we go to MI and we love it. I saw a recipe in the Feb RR Mag that I wanted to try and sighed with Joy knowing that I already had the perfect cut of salmon! :) The couscous was pretty good but the zucchini was Amazing! It will be a "staple" veggie side dish because it was sooooooo yummy and really really cheap. they're like 30 cents. Hope you take the time to make this dish! Two thumbs up!

~Marketing & More~

Marketing and More! I can not believe how much my mind is rolling! Tommy and I have had two days of non stop:

-Marketing Ideas.
-Website getting Updated!

-Brainstorming Away!

-Client Gift Ideas!
-Two New Avenues for the Company and all that goes with it!

-Wheels Turning on what to do next with Seniors.

-So much more!

We have looked at each other at least 4 times in the last two days and just said, "Wow! Did we do all that?", "Did we just write all that down in the last 10 mins?" or "Could we have anymore Ideas in one day?". It's been incredible. We can not wait for everyone to see what's New and What's in Store for New Age Foto this Spring and Summer (2010)!

Get Ready Cause Here We Come!

~Come Over 4 Dinner?~

I'm not going to even type... just check out what all we have been cooking the last couple of weeks!

~Jackson & Visiting Amber~

Jackson! Oh, Jackson! He's was being too cute yesterday. He sat in my door way whining and Tommy came out of his office to tell him to leave me alone and this is what I got...

Tommy and I went over to Amber's tonight to take her some food, sort some clothes and of course visit. While Amber was eating her French Onion Soup we took turns holding the baby!!! He has grown. He is 11lbs now! Marco and Hugo came home while we were there. We had some pizza and attempted to play a little but they wanted mommy. Totally acceptable! :) I love these next four pictures...

So we had a good day. Got lots of work done. It's 9:00pm now and Tommy will probably work for another couple of hours. My task at hand... take down the Christmas Tree. Yes it's still up but hopefully before 03.03.10 it will be down, a.k.a. Midnight tonight! At least most of the ornaments and all of the decorations. We'll see! I'll keep ya posted!

Tomorrow E will be here. She's our intern and helps out a great deal. We will work on some projects and do some brain storming together. Can't wait to see her. We missed her so much last week when we were in Cincinnati.

~Bring It On, Again~

Once again, what a Sunday! Today we had two more sessions for New Age Foto. Bob at Vicki left around noon and at 2pm we had Stephanie's Session. By 11am Alisha was already done with Carolyn. Double duty.

The first set of pictures are of Carolyn. She attends Centennial where my dad used to teach. Alisha took her down town and had some fun. It was nice that Carolyn brought a friend because she was able to help out! ;) I think the three ladies had a lot of fun. Here's what we got!

Then we (Tommy&I) photographed Stephanie who I graduated with (from Centennial). She did a Modeling Session. We also went down town and of course had many outfit changes. She and I had a lot of fun talking, reminiscing and of course shooting. Here are our favorites!
