~August, my Birthday Month~

On August 1st Gabe (third kid in) moved to Indiana. He is the first of the Marland Drive Crew to move (besides me). It was a sad week for all the kids. They all decided to do a photo shoot as a group after he finished packing. The next day E sent me this picture on Facebook. The top part of the photo was one that I took of E, Sami, Gabe and Julio on my front porch when they were little. The bottom half was taken a few days ago, I cried when I saw it. Gabe, Marland Drive will miss you. We also went to Woodstock on the 1st!
On August 2nd Jill called me from the Hospital. She went in for Emergency Surgery. After having hours of stomach pain, Marvin took her to St. Ann's. Tommy and I went over to visit for a while. Later Marvin went to pick up the girls at Day Care and we drove Jill Home. We stopped at Walgreen's on the way to her house and picked up Valentine's Day and her prescriptions. Once we got her home and situated she said that she was dying to give me my birthday gift. I LOVED IT! Jill bought me a purse, went back and got herself the same one and has been caring it all summer. I had been wanting to steal it! So Happy I Have One Now!

Of course Jill filled the purse with goodies that she knew I would love. There are stories behind the herbs and window graphics! :) I also got a cute tee and a grocery list/calendar pad! :) So me!

After we left Jill's I threw on my new rainbow top, jewelry and heels and we were off to dinner reservations. I got to wear my new Luxboheme necklace too. :) Tommy and I have been wanting to go to Ocean Club. We had not been since 2007. It was great to go back! We had the Tuna Tar Tar app, I had the Burger and Tommy had Swordfish. Everything was so yummy, too full for desert though.

Tuesday the 3rd Tommy and I showed up at Jills around 6:30. They guys went out golfing and I was at the house to help. I got the girls ready (with Jills guidance, lol) and took them to Day Care. When I got back Jill and I watched Valentine's Day and talked. By 11am she was out! :) I was so happy that she was able to get some rest. In the evening Tommy and I went on a long walk. We took the pup pup! He was so tired by the end of the walk!

Saturday was my birthday. I can't believe that I'm not 25 anymore. I was already scared about 25! A Quarter of a Century already. Oh my gosh, melt down. Usually I'm laid back about the basics in life but me getting older, not a fan. It's not that I don't want to move on to the next steps in life, it's truly just the number, 26! Oh Wait, Best Friends know how to make it all better! So do hubby's when they come home with flowers and a card.

Tommy had a wedding to photograph and I got the day off. Jill, Marvin, the girls and me were all going to go to Kings Island but just had surgery on Tuesday so it was best to stay home and let her recover. You know a good way to help recover? Scrap booking and Ice Cream. I went over to the Wendorf's around noon and picked up Jill. We went to Meijer and Walgreens. She spoiled me with Lemonade, Whoppers (yes Whoppers) and some Family Chipboard Sticker (that I picked out to give to here for Christmas). When we got home we had a Birthday Lunch! Yeah Baby!
After lunch and nap we went to Cold Stone for Birthday Ice Cream! The girls we so excited that I picked Cold Stone, "The Ice Cream Place that Daddy Likes!"

Audrey's Ice Cream was blue and she kept asking if her tongue was still blue! Then Brookie started asking if hers was brown from her Chocolate Ice Cream. It was so funny.

A-Dub looks like she is plotting something!
Awww! Mother & Daughter!
Leaving Cold Stone, Jill and I both had Audrey's hands. I managed to get this shot with right hand. I thought it turned out well.
When we got home Jill and I scrap booked. I brought over lots of albums and got tons done. She worked on the album from our Barbie Trip and I got my 1996 album finished. We talked a lot and I shared a lot of what I had bought and been working on with Jill too. She was so sweet to listen. I think I shared a little too much. ;) It was a great Birthday!

~I Went to Woodstock~

Tommy and I have a friend named Andy. He performs at Shadowbox. Andy and the Gang, added 60 new performers signed on to do a One Time Show (outside) at Schiller Park in German Village of Woodstock: Back to the Garden. Tommy and Daddy saw it at Shadowbox back in the Spring. It was so much fun to take out blankets, chairs and food and hang out for the show to start. Everyone did such an amazing job. The music, acting and dancing was just as great as always and you could tell that they were all having fun performing.

I made my Cheesecake for everyone and daddy, especially loved it!
Peace!
My Theatre Teacher for High School and a sweet teacher at Centennial who was new my Junior year were there to see Andy perform too. It was so great to see them and hang out for a few.
Daddy's Smile! :)

Andy playing with one of the kid performers!
Matt also is a CHS Alumni but he graduated when I was like 6. Daddy was happy to see him!
The rest of the pictures are from the performance. The cast did such a wonderful job! Enjoy!

I hope that Shadow brings more live shows to S. Park. I would love to make it a summer tradition!

~Parade of Homes~

Tommy and I had the pleasure of going to Parade of Homes with daddy again this year. We had such a great time. We talked the some people about outdoor kitchens (pic below) and got some great ideas for the future when we have a home of our own, with a yard.I thought this was so funny. Every home had interior designers come in to decorate. This boy's room was made out to be a teenagers room. Too Funny!

Kevin Knight & Company built our favorite house of the 8 homes. It was home number four but the way that all of them were positioned on the street it made it easier to hit the other seven and end with number four. Oh my goodness, was it worth it! To end of that note was amazing! 4,072 Sq Feet, 4 Bedrooms, 5 1/5 Baths and a 3 Car Garage. One of our favorite features of the home was the divider between the indoor living space and the out door patio/wood burning area. Not to mention the indoor garden/laundry room area and the lower level with the wine cellar as big as our bathroom. Wow! So here's a sneak peak of what the house looked like as they were building it. I want you to see the divider and outdoor kitchen.
